Rivera Invest visits the people in the border district of Da Krong
Despite taking place in the days of the storm No. 09 landing on the mainland, causing heavy rain in most of the central provinces, the charity trip to support the people in the border district of Da Krong (Quang Tri Province) was still held according to the expected plan - from October 28 to October 30, 2020.
The charity trip brought nearly 100 gifts including money, warm clothes, essential food and the hearts of Rivera Invest employees to the people in the most difficult days. The entire cost of the trip is deducted from the contribution equivalent to one day's salary of all staff and employees and a part of the Company's budget for charity activities.
Although it is not one of the places that suffer the most damages during the record floods in October, with the characteristics of sloping terrain, rapid flooding and heavy rainfall, the people here also suffered many damages in the recent historic flood. The lives of the people in Da Krong for many years have been still difficult and hard.
The journey to Da Krong people of the Rivera Invest charity team crossed through many hilly, winding roads; many landslide points are still being handled by functional units to reconnect traffic and open roads for the hearts of the people in the lowlands to the people in the uplands to share wit them, overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.

After a day of traveling, the charity team finnaly arrived, gave gifts and visited the people in Da Krong, Ta Rut and A Ngo communes. In which, there is 1 point in A Ngo Commune that could not be accessed by the charity team because the route was heavily eroded and could not be handled. The team had to gather goods and gave gifts to the people at other point according to the instructions of local authorities.
Mr. Le Anh Dung - Member of the Board of Directors, Head of the charity team visited and gave gifts to the people in flood areas.
With the support of the local authorities, the team promptly gave gifts to the people of A Ngo Commune on the evening of October 29 after the journey was interrupted by landslides.
On the return journey, the team visited and gave gifts to the family of Mr. Bao - a man with meritorious services to the revolution, born in the North, fought in the Quang Tri battlefield and chose this place as a place to live after the war ended. His life is still full of hardships and deprivations.
On behalf of the company, Mr. Le Anh Dung encouraged, shared and gave gifts to Mr. Bao's family.
Despite the hardships, each member of the charity team always felt happy when they saw the happiness of the people here and when the hearts of Rivera Invest people have reached the people here sincerely and practically. Mr. Le Anh Dung - Member of the Board of Directors, Head of the Rivera Invest charity team shared: "Seeing the smiles of the children, the happy faces of the people in the photos, we suddenly realize the great value of sharing when Da Krong people receive the gifts and hearts of Rivera Invest people, and we - both those on the journey and those at home, in return, receive the warmth and love of life".
It is forecasted that in the coming days, the Central region will continue to suffer from the storm No. 10, which is going to enter the East Sea with complicated moving directions. After this trip, there will be further trips organized so that the people of Rivera Invest can directly send their affection and sharing to the people in flood areas and people in difficult circumstances.
